On the brink

Down and out is how I feel
When all of future resembles the current day
I can feel sadness welling inside me
Like a wave ready to crash
Yet I blink and carry on
For there is no reason I should be sad

My mom looked pensive and K was engaged in conversation with his co-passenger who seemed delighted by his company. Six hours later stepping off the plane into the vast expanse […]

Then and now

Full circle

The golden morning
Rays of sun slant my way
Overhead noon
I fear the brightness

Waiting for hope…

A candle flickers in the wind
An anguished silence reigns
I am scared to answer the phone
The conversation is stilted

A place called Happy

On advice from a dear friend UL, I decided to think about things that make me happy and do not involve people. It isn’t easy since most of my happy memories are associated with people. Anyways here is what I could think of.
1. Solitude and morning coffee2. Slanting rays from the sun filtering through trees3. […]
