Life is good!

Sometimes in the hours before I am ready to call it a day, I sit on my recliner, feet up, laptop perched comfortably on my legs and browse. I cover news from MSNBC, The Hindu, Rediff, CNN, BBC and Google News. Then wondering what to do next, I haunt all my fave bloggers in the cyber world. Done catching up with all new posts and comments, I look around. Sometimes I close my laptop and read a book. Other times I watch TV rather reluctantly.

Then there are days when in a fit of narscistic tendencies I open up my blog and read. Not the ones I have posted the last few days. I go back to my archives. Pick some day on the calendar and wonder what I did that day. More often than not, I end up reliving some good moments. I click on “Click to get a Random Post” link on the left side of this page. I get surprised by the stuff that comes up. I hardly realize how much time I spend on just reading through what I write. It shames me some but mostly it relaxes me. It reminds me of all the good things that surround me. I end up feeling thankful. For a hobby that lets me capture my emotions and serves as a diary. For bringing back memories of day my dad died and the day my sister got married. All the highs and lows of my life. Out there for me to reach out and touch it when I feel like.

indeed, writing a blog is akin to keeping a journal (not a diary) since its not private, but, a journal that captures the highs and lows in our lives. Not only does it help us keep track of happenings and memories, but also fosters new acquaintances.

  2. @Mitr: Absolutely. It amazes me to see the number of people I have found through blogging.
