Truly Global
If I haven’t already mentioned it many times over here, I am fairly obsessed with this blog. I love looking at where my visitors are coming from, what they like to read and what they search for when they come looking. From the straightforward “lakshmusings” to “men wearing pattu paavadai” or “dance in the rain” and “Πως περνουν τη πρωτοχ” whatever that means, I get all kinds of search terms that puts a hapless visitor here wondering what on earth was being written about.
Then there are the cool features my stats tool offers like looking up what percentage of people come from which country. When I started it was more like 95% plus from the U.S and the rest from India. Of course visits from loving friends and family who show their love for me this way ;p
Today on a whim, I clicked on the “Country Share” link after a long,long time. This is what I got!
I must say I felt a tad overwhelmed. And proud. And happy. And of course humbled and infinitely grateful. So, thank you to all of you who stop by either as a morning ritual or as a way to catch up before you call it a day. To the ones who land on here by at totally unrelated search query. And the ones who feel compelled to click on my email signature or the link on my Orkut/Facebook profiles. To my regular commentors and the silent lurkers, A huge Thank You!!
my country came in 3rd, need to do some marketing out here for ‘musings’..any ideas laksh?!:)
For me,it started out as a morning ritual ..now it is, plus few peeks a day..:)

good one, must make you feel that there are tons of readers out there who are looking at your musings. Indeed, what a nice way to reach out, make new friends and also share ur feelings. I really enjoy reading all your thoughts- keep up the good work.

@Mitr: Thank you! The readership per se is not all that high. What amazes me is the reach. I had never thought about the internet being truly global and the power of its reach till I started analyzing stats.
@JS: Thank you!!! You should definitely join. It will be due mid June. So, you will have plenty of time to catch up. Would love to hear your take on books.
