I miss my father in law!
Before you even gush and say “Aww, how sweet!”, let me clarify my statement. I miss him for sure, just not in the way I would miss my mom when she goes back or the way I would miss K if he were to go away for a week.
So, why this public declaration of affection?
Because I am stuck! I have what I am terming a blogger’s block. I just can’t seem to think of interesting things to say all week. With FIL around, there was no dearth of topics to write about. Like Raymond declares in one of the episodes of “Everybody Loves Raymond”, material presented itself.
I would wake up each morning and treat myself to strong kaapi (which I sorely miss!) and just have to look at FIL for inspiration. Words would come flooding through and my fingers would itch to type.
Or like today when I was berating myself on my brain freeze, my thoughts meandered to my FIL and words came rushing by.
Oh! How I miss him!

I always chuckle when bloggers confess on brain freeze. Good confession..I am frozen for sometime now..
Oh pliss no brain freeze!
Do you mean to say your FIL is like Frank?! Hope not! ;–)
Totally hear you on the brain freeze. Interesting people make life worth living - I, for one, believe in having interesting folks around you. They add the much needed drama and variety in our life, else it just becomes a routine.
@Anamika: Hope the thaw sets in
Racking my brains yet on what to write for today!
@Akay: Very well put. With FIL around I had no dearth of things to write, rant and chuckle about. In a way I really do miss him.
@SK: He is more than “like Frank”. Sometimes I think he IS Frank
